About the Authors...

Warwick Marlin

Warwick went to St Bees school in the North of England where he completed ‘A’ levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) at the University of Natal (Durban) in 1970, majoring in Pure Maths and Physics.

He completed his Diploma in Education (Dip.Ed.) at Christchurch (NZ). He has had over 20 years of teaching experience in South Africa, New Zealand and for the past 20 years in Australia.

He was the Author and Publisher of all the books in the original Understanding Maths Series, which were first published in 1988.

In 1986 he was also the Founder and Senior Director of Australian Youth Challenge – a program designed to help teenagers in the key areas of self esteem, motivation, goal setting, communication and study skills.

He has been the Coordinator and Principal Teacher for the July Holiday Maths courses which have been running successfully for the last 15 years at St Andrews Catheral School in Sydney.

In this series of Understanding Maths, he is the author of the Year 5 & 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 books, and all of the books in the Important Facts and Formulas series. He is the publisher of all the books outlined on this website, and is the owner and Managing Director of Accelerated Maths Learning Pty. Ltd.
