Revision of previous workWherever applicable, important ideas from previous years are first thoroughly revised at the start of each chapter, before introducing any new work.
Sets of stepsSome ideas in Maths require a SET OF STEPS, rather than a formula or rule. These books break down complex methods into simple, easily understandable steps. In addition, the two lower Primary books up to Year 4 contain hundreds of practical activities around the house which parents can utilize to enhance understanding and enjoyment.
DiagramsA picture is worth a thousand words so we have included diagrams wherever possible in order to further illustrate and clarify concepts.
Graded exercisesAll of the books have carefully graded exercises at the end of each topic for students to practise on. We begin with very easy exercises to build up understanding and confidence in weaker students. The exercises become progressively more difficult and challenging, which means that our series caters for students of all abilities, from weak to very strong. If students/parents experience any difficulty with a particular question, a reference page with a similar fully worked example has been given. Solutions to all problems are given at the back of each book.
Very user friendlyThe books are all very comprehensive, clear and concise, and a great deal of time and effort has gone into the text presentation and layout. In contrast to many other texts and summary guides, the typesetting is larger and each page is not crammed and overloaded with extraneous and irrelevant information. Research into learning has shown that information is much easier to understanding and memorise if it is presented in a more appealing way this is particularly true for teenagers in this day and age.
InexpensiveIn contrast to other Maths Learning aids (private coaching, videos, tapes, computers) these books represent an outstanding, low cost, no-risk investment in education. They dont break down; they carry a 100% money back guarantee; and the necessary information is available for 365 days of the year.
The Syllabus in different statesThis series of books has been written to closely follow the contents of the NSW syllabus. However, as most parents will appreciate, the syllabus in most States in Australia is almost identical up to Year 10. Every student, in their primary and middle years of high school, has to first learn the basic and important topics of: whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry, measurement, algebra, equations, statistics, trigonometry etc. However, after Year 10, the syllabus within the different States does start to change and vary. Therefore if you live outside of NSW, it would be advisable to first check the major topics contained in our Year 11 and Year 12 books, before purchasing them.
