The National Curriculum is based on three (3) broad major strands called NUMBER, SPACE & MEASUREMENT. These are then divided into the 19 sub-strands listed above.

Each of the nineteen sub-strands is further subdivided into the concepts and ideas that are required for understanding. At the end of each sub-strand there are five exercises graded progressively from easy, to build up confidence for weaker students, through to extension (for more talented students) with all solutions given. There are also numerous fun activities and assignments that reinforce understanding and competence in each of the sub-strands.

NOTE: This is also an excellent resource book for parents, because it will provide them with an important overview of the complete curriculum. In addition, it will show them those sub-strands where extra work is required.
